    RUSSELL THOMPKINS, JR & THE NEW STYLISTICS

    For over 30 years, Russell Thompkins, Jr was the original lead singer of the Stylistics. His impeccable falsetto voice led the group to international fame and recognition. Russell's distinctive falsetto was the driving force and the backbone of the original Stylistics.

    CON FUNK SHUN

    R&B Funk

    Con Funk Shun is an American R&B and funk band formed in Vallejo, California, in the late 1960s. Known for their infectious grooves and soulful melodies, Con Funk Shun rose to prominence in the 1970s and 1980s with a string of hit albums and singles. Comprising members Michael Cooper, Felton Pilate, Karl Fuller, Louis A. McCall Sr., Paul "Maceo" Harrell, Cedric Martin, Danny "Sweet Man" Thomas, and Eric "EQ" Young, the band gained a reputation for their dynamic live performances and tight musicianship.

    Jeanette has played major events from The Coombs River Bend Ranch Festival to festivals in Japan and London. She has performed as a side musician with Teena Marie, Howard Hewett and Deniece Williams and has opened shows for greats ranging from smooth jazz stars Kirk Whalum, Najee and The Rippingtons to R&B stars Babyface, Phil Perry and KEM.

    GRANT DRUMLINE

     Grant Drum Line Music Association was founded in 2009 simultaneously with Grant Drum Line. At the time of its formation an association was not being discussed. The main drive was to support youth aged 14 to 24 through positive engagement and opportunities.

    Alabama Mike is one of the few blues artists today who writes strong, memorable songs that are simultaneously unique, but steeped in blues tradition. He writes about modern themes, making his music work in a way that’s natural and not contrived. The songs reflect his personality: unabashed, self-assured and swaggering at times. The music is raw-edged yet reflects the complex and realistic person that is Alabama Mike.

    Alvon Johnson is one of the most versatile musicians, singers, and entertainers on the music scene today. He travels the world singing and swinging jazz standards with Big Bands. He also gallops the globe performing the songs that he performed while working with the rock and roll hall of fame group, The Coasters. When he travels to Russia he is referred to as the “King of the Blues” and the “Ambassador of the Blues”. His love and respect for the American Art form is shared by large and enthusiastic audiences all over the world. 

    ZYDECO FLAMES

    The Zydeco Flames have gained a reputation as the West Coast's premiere Zydeco band. The Flames consistently pack the house in venues ranging from contemporary clubs to major festivals and traditional dancehalls. Their sizzling roots rhythms are timeless and the execution of them relentless, with a stunningly powerful groove. The Flames' sixth CD release "Fire It Up", provides fans with hot Zydeco in the tradition of masters like Clifton Chenier, Buckwheat Zydeco and Queen Ida.

    The Bay Area Gumbo Band is a lively musical ensemble hailing from the San Francisco Bay Area. Specializing in the genre of New Orleans-style gumbo music, they infuse elements of cajun, zydeco, jazz, blues, gospel and soul into their performances, creating a dynamic and infectious sound that gets audiences up and dancing.
