Festival Dates & Hours

The Crawdad Festival that took place in Isleton, CA in 2023 has Cal Expo in Sacramento, California for 2024 for an overall upgraded experience. The Festival will take place from Saturday, June 15 to Sunday, June 16, 2024.

Location: 1600 Exposition Blvd, Sacramento, CA 95815

Festival Hours: 11:00AM - 10:00PM on Saturday and 11:00AM - 9:00PM on Sunday. Times are subject to change without notice.

Re-Entry

Re-Enrty is allowed. You will be requested to re-enter through the security checkpoint.

Children at The Crawdad Festival

The Crawdad Festival invites fans of all ages, including kids! On Saturday and Sunday there is a children designated area, The Crawdad Kids Zone featuring: Magic Show, Balloon Sculptures, Face Painting as well as Youth Performers on the Kids Zone Stage. There are carnival rides and games. Also, Children 11 years old and younger will be admitted free of charge with a ticket-holding adult. Does not include carnival rides and games, food, drinks or VIP Experience.

VIP Experience

Dive into an all-day, unlimited entry to the Bayou VIP Lounge for a comprehensive range of festivities and a shaded sanctuary to stay cool. This distinctive Crawdad Festival experience is reserved for a select few. Revel in exceptional stage views, priority access to the meal line, and a VIP private bar featuring an array of premium beverages. Familiarize yourself with the bands in a special meet and greet area exclusive to the VIP lounge. Concerned about missing out on other stage performances? Your seating is guaranteed.

Food Avenue

The festival has an array of foods to choose from featuring New Orleans inspired cuisine (frog legs, catfish, gumbo, jambalaya, red beans and rice, bread pudding...), Café du Monde-style chicory coffee and beignets and of course, lots and lots of CRAWDADS. Each year the selection and quantity may vary. Also, don't forget the variety of non-crawdad related foods to enjoy such as: BBQ, Mexican Cuisine, Filipono Fusion, and other international foods and desserts, adult beverages: Beer, and specialty drinks.

Cash & Credit Cards

There are ATMs at several locations throughout the festival grounds with applicable service fees.

Most vendors accept credit cards, including the Festival’s Box Office. The Crawdad Stations, Souvenir Booths, Beverage Stations and most Bars accept Credit or Debit Card ONLY, no cash.

Parking

Parking will be located at Cal Expo, parking lots B, C and D. Parking is $15 per vehicle

Chairs

Bagged Pop-Up chairs are allowed. Chairs must be bagged. Lawn chairs, beach chairs, metal folding chairs, plastic chairs are not allowed.

Clear Bag Policy

California Exposition and State Fair will enforce a Clear Bag Policy to reduce security screening interactions and expedite entry to Fairgrounds. Guests can carry in blankets and jackets as long as they are readily available for screening at entry.

Guests can bring in handbags, cross body bags, parental bags as long as they are readily available for screening at entry. Exceptions will be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection and screening.
